Jamsil district in Seoul is home to several destinations, sports stadiums, and skyscrapers, including Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in South Korea and the 5th tallest building globally. The tower, which rises to 555 meters, comprises retail, office, residential, luxury hotel, and an observation deck developed by Lotte Moolsan.
Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and BAUM Architects with ALT as the facade consultant, the modern aesthetics of its facade are inspired by Korea’s rich art history of ceramics, porcelain, and calligraphy. The tower is wrapped in a curtain wall made of silver glass and white lacquered metal, giving an elegant yet subtle look. A place to experience Seoul’s night lights and cityscape, Lotte World Tower is both a landmark and a centerpiece to a beautiful metropolis.
